Our time here in Angers as “The LPI Group” is sadly coming to a close. Although we each anticipate going back home to our families, we have all grown so close together as friends that a part of us doesn’t want the experience to end. This past weekend, we all realized that this would be our last excursion before our return to Paris, so we made the best of it.
Through belting out songs on the bus together, boat rides, and tours of each castle, we enjoyed our last weekend outing. France has left quite the impression on all of us with its culture, language, and breathtaking monuments. However, the essence of our trip was not only molded by the fabulous country that has been our home for a month, but by the people we’ve grown to love. In other words, our host families, teachers, peers, and directors have all impacted our stay here with a positive and enriching experience. Reflecting on my time here, I realize how much our group has done together. Throughout our ups and downs, quirks and quarrels, and collective discoveries, we have stuck together as a group and learned to not only become friends, but become a family of sorts. So I leave my friends saying “A la prochaine” instead of “Au revoir” because they will always be with me in my memory and in my heart. I only hope, everyone can say the same.
